What You Need for Measuring #
Have the following ready so you can take your measurements correctly:
- A flexible tailor’s measuring tape that conforms closely to your body
- A second person to assist — many areas can’t be measured precisely alone
- Our online form, sent to you by email right after your order. Enter all values there; it also contains illustrations for each measuring point
- If you plan to wear them under the suit: your protectors (e.g., back or knee protectors)
Important Note #
If you intend to wear protectors under the suit, it’s essential to take your measurements while wearing those protectors. Only then can we ensure the suit won’t be too tight later and that you’ll have adequate freedom of movement. Measuring without protectors may fit without them, but can feel restrictive once you add protective gear.
How to Measure Correctly #
- Always hold the tape horizontally or vertically, close to the body — without cutting in. Make sure the skin isn’t compressed; otherwise the measurements will be too small and the suit will be too tight.
- Stand upright and relaxed. Avoid tensing up, standing crooked, or pulling in your stomach—this would distort the values.
- For the thigh, calf, upper arm, and forearm, measure at the widest point and keep the muscle slightly flexed for realistic values that reflect riding conditions.
- Wear light clothing or measure directly on the skin. If you plan to wear base layers or protectors under the suit, wear them while measuring.
- Have a second person take the measurements—especially for areas like the back or shoulders—for greater accuracy.
Tips for Accurate Measurements #
- Take your time and measure carefully. Accuracy matters — even 1–2 cm can impact fit and comfort.
- You may add 1–2 cm only to the forearm circumference if you prefer a slightly looser sleeve.
- After entering your data in the form, verify that all measuring points are complete and correct. Missing values prevent us from tailoring your suit properly.
Your Measuring Points at a Glance #
We’ve marked all important measuring points in our illustrations. Use them as a guide and then enter your values into the online form. The same images appear in the form, along with detailed explanations for each measuring point. This ensures we capture everything needed to tailor your suit precisely to your body.
